First Global Conference on Sustainable Transport System started in the Trade and Union Camber of the country in Ashgabat. The Forum, which agenda includes broad spectrum of subjects related to cooperation in such strategic direction as transport, is held under the UN aegis.

On November 24, on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, Chairperson of Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Turkmenistan Gerhard Sayller. In the course of meeting, the newly appointed ambassador was introduced to the major trends of the nation’s leader-initiated home and foreign policy, which brings wide international cooperation in the interests of peace, security and general welfare to the forefront.

On November 24, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov convened an enlarged session of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the priority issues of the state’s and society’s life activity, as well as some drafts of the documents. The session was attended by representatives of the country’s Mejlis, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city, rectors of higher educational institutions, heads of ministries and agencies, mass media.
