Our fellow countrymen have performed successfully at the Ashihara Karate Open Eurasian Cup. Some 200 karatekas from 15 countries competed for medals in the harshest martial art at the tournament in Budapest (Hungary). In our team Farkhat Jumaev has achieved the best result and won a gold medal. Muhammet Nurgeldiev has become a silver medal winner. Izzat Tairov and Myahri Khajieva are bronze medalists.

During the patriotic action devoted to the year of health and inspiration, its participants with the brand of the Asian indoor and martial arts games -2017 visited noteworthy places in every velayat of Turkmenistan. The State News Agency and Executive committee for preparation for the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games have acted as organizers of the project. This action urged to popularise the tourist potential of the country the capital of which will host the forthcoming large scale competitions of the best athletes of Asia and the Oceania in the autumn.

Asian Kickboxing championship finished in the Martial Arts Complex of the Olympic village. Turkmen sportsmen were the first in total count. Out compatriots won 27 gold, 25 silver and 23 bronze medals.

H.Toychyyev, the Turkmen weightlifter, stepped on the top of podium after he won the Snatch title in the men’s 105+ kg, having lifted 197 kg. Not only did he seal his victory, but also set the new Turkmenistan record that outweighed the previous one he set at the World Championship in Houston (USA) by 7 kg.

On the ongoing in the capital's Olympic town Asian Kickboxing Championship today, winners and prize-winners in the discipline of ""musical forms"" , as well as several fighting versions were determined. Turkmen athletes in these competitions won 14 medals - six gold, two - silver and six - bronze. In the contests of the continental level in weightlifting, medals were played in two weight classes.

The swimming tournament finished in the capital’s Olympic Village, where Turkmen athletes won a total of eleven prizes (two gold, six silver and three bronze medals), having secured fourth place in the team event.

The weightlifting competitions in the weight category up to 77 kg among women were not represented by Turkmen athletes. The absolute victory in this event (three gold medals) was won by Rongyang Lee with a total weight of 250 kg (110 kg in the snatch and 140 kg in the jerk). Silver medalist was Chi-Ling Yao of the Chinese Taipei (237 kg), and the top three was closed by member of the team of the Republic of Korea Yunjeong Yeom (217 kg).

Horses of Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, National Equestrian Centre, International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, different complexes form the velayats and number of ministries, totally 15 participants, took part in the competitions held in indoor riding hall of International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex. Best Turkmen jockeys, supported by numerous fans who filled the stands and evidenced beautiful and breath-taking competitions, demonstrated their skills as well.
