In the international basketball tournament in the 3х3 format that was held in the city of Eindhoven (Holland), the national female team of Turkmenistan won gold medals, and the male team - silver.

National Institute of Sport and Tourism hosted the action dedicated to the state policy of Turkmenistan for the development of sport of high achievements under the context of the decision of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on foundation of new faculty and construction of the building for this in above-mentioned institute.

“Ashgabat” multifunctional sport complex hold Turkmenistan Open Powerlifting championship, which gathered around 100 sportsmen from all regions of the country. Bu the results of the tournament, organized by the State Committee for Sport and by the Powerlifting Federation, initial national team will be formed for participation in 2017 Asian Games.

The session dedicated to discussion of the objectives followed from the Resolution signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the day before on the improvement of facilities and equipment base of National Institute of Sport and Tourism and opening of new faculty was held at the above-mentioned educational institution.

The tournament defining the composition of national team for participation in international competitions was held at Ashgabat Indoor Cycle Track

Ashgabat, December 20 (TDH). The qualifying competitions in sport dancing were held at the sports complex ""Galkynysh"". They were aimed at finalizing the national team composition for V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be hosted by Turkmenistan in September 2017.

National team won 14 medals where nine gold, three silver and two bronze medals.

It was the first victory of the sportsmen of Silab Seydiyev and Serdar Atayev, having taken over the Ashagbat champion, the team of the Ministry of Public Services “Bagtyyarlyk” with 2:1 score.

The run along the eastern part of the Path of Health from Chandybil Avenue of the capital to the Centre of Broadcasting “Turkmenistan”, which is more than 18 kilometres, was the final fifth stage, which defined the winners of 2016. The total altitude from start to finish reaches 1320 meters there due to repeating slopes and rises. The round was organized by the State Committee for Sport and the Hyakimlik of Archabil etrap.

The ceremony of awarding Turkmen athletes - the winners of the Asia Ju-Jitsu Championship took place at the National Institute for Tourism and Sports. Valuable gifts were awarded to the winners on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
