Turkmenistan Fencing Championship concluded at “Ashgabat” Sports Complex. The tournament gathered together 70 best masters of saber, foil and epee duels.

The National Institute of Sport and Tourism hosted the Conference entitled “Asiada – 2017: Health. Inspiration. Friendship”.

The Turkmen President familiarized himself with samples of vehicles intended to serve the participants of the Vth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat.

In 2017, on the eve of the Vth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, sports arenas of the capital’s Olympic Village are planning to have a number of international test competitions.

The capital's Olympic Village Business Center hosted a press conference dedicated to complex preparations for the V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games to be held in September this year in Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Executive Committee of the Asian Games 2017, the National Olympic Committee, the State Committee on Sports, foreign experts on organization of international sports forums.

Turkmen athletes participated in 138 international competitions overseas and won 643 medals (221 gold, 196 silver and 226 bronze). This is for 232 medals more than in previous year. This are 86 prizes during world’ tournaments, 291 during Asian cups and 266 at other prestigious competitions.

The horse marathon in honour of Asian games -2017, which started 250 days ago at walls of the state historical and cultural reserve «Old Nisa», reached Lebap velayat having passed through cities and villages of Akhal, Balkan and Dashoghuz regions.

Today, employees of all ministries and departments, organizations and enterprises, including the Cabinet of Ministers and Mejlis of Turkmenistan and students of higher educational institutions locally held industrial gymnastics.

An official mascot and brand of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games have been approved. Expressive symbols, reflecting the national identity, ethnographic and cultural-historical peculiarities of our country, the world of its nature and folk traditions have supplemented the complex of various attributes of Asian Games-2017.

National Ice Hockey Team returned from international training camp held in “Raubichi” Olympic Sport Complex in Minsk (Belarus). Our players held two friendly matches with local clubs, having confidently won both of them.
