At the 3rd International Tournament “Moscow Wushu Stars -2017” Turkmen sportsmen won three prizes today, including one silver and two bronze medals.

At the 8th Asian Winter Games in Sapporo Turkmen hockey players, for the first time participating in such large complex competitions, gained second victory in succession. Today trainees of Bayram Allayarov have defeated the team of Macao with the lopsided score 16:0, having strengthened their leadership in the “B” group.

Turkmen masters of kickboxing in the tournament in Helsinki (Finland) won 11 medals, seven of which are gold, one - silver and three - bronze.

Two large international jujitsu tournaments – The Grand Slam and Junior and Adults World Cup, finished in Bangkok. The performance of our compatriots was a triumph and collection of national sport achievements was supplemented by 44 medals – 11gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze. This result brought Turkmen team to the second place in total team count.

Ju-jitsu International “Grand Slam” Tournaments and World Cup Tournament among Juniors started in Bangkok. From the very first day, the performances of our compatriots become triumphant: treasury of sporting achievements of Turkmenistan has been replenished with 29 medals, six of them are gold, nine – silver and 14 – bronze.

Our players successfully won Malaysian team with 2:0 score. At the second minute of the match, captain of Turkmen team made wonderful pass to forward Alexander Vakhovskiy who sent the puck to the goal of the contester. He doubled the score after 10 minutes and clear shots of Ishan Veleyev, Yakub Berdiyev and Ezizmuhammed Akmuhammedov took our team to the leaders of the first period (5:0).

The “Ascension” project, organized by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan and the Executive Committee for the preparation of 5th Asian Games, has reached its climax: the Crest of the Motherland and the symbol of Asian Games-2017 have been raised to the highest point of the country - Ayrybaba peak.

Co-organized by the Turkmen State Information Agency (TDH) and the Executive Committee of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, a climbing expedition is now well underway and is progressing. The sporting and patriotic event was launched to celebrate State Flag Day of Turkmenistan and the Year of Health and Inspiration: a national flag and a symbol of the 2017 Asian Games would be planted on the country’s highest peak - Airybaba.

A delegation of Turkmenistan will be on a visit to the city of Sapporo (Japan) on February 17-28 to participate in the 69th OCA Executive Committee meeting. During the visit, representatives of our country will attend the official opening ceremony of the 8th Asian Winter Games to become acquainted with their organization.

The expedition, which includes also a TDH correspondent, will deliver the Turkmen flag and a symbol of the Asian Games-2017 to the highest point of the country, dedicating this ascent to the upcoming national holiday - the National Flag Day and the Year of Health and Inspiration.
