President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports that the hyakims of the regions and Ashgabat and the heads of military and law enforcement agencies were invited to participate in the government meeting, which took place Turkmenabat.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Turkmenabat, received State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Daishiro Yamagiwa, who arrived in Turkmenistan, leading the high-level delegation to participate in Turkmenistan-Japan Business Forum, which will take place in Ashgabat.

In the afternoon, the President of Turkmenistan attended the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a new velayat mosque in Turkmenabat, Lebap Velayat.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the progress of agricultural activities in Serdarabat Etrap in Lebap Velayat. When on board a helicopter the Turkmen leader could see agricultural lands in the region where the harvest campaign was in full swing. Agricultural workers are currently engaged in taking care of cotton fields and ploughing the lands released from wheat.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov familiarized with the construction process of new highway and railway bridges Turkmenabat-Farab.

During working trip to Lebap province, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has inspected the construction process of ore-dressing and processing complex for production of potash fertilizers in Garlyk settlement. While examination of construction site, the head of state was familiarized with state of affairs on major industrial sections of the enterprise.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov started up the water treatment facilities in Koitendag and Farab Etrap during his working visit to Lebap Velayat.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was on a working visit to Mary Velayat, attended the presentation of a new ambitious investment project for Turkmenistan’s power industry. After the presentation had concluded, the President signed the Resolution on the construction of the 1,574MW combined-cycle power plant on the territory of the Mary state power plant.
